Wulu Mae Candles

Illustrations, T-shirt and Label design

This local, hand-poured candle company created a line of unique scents inspired by Southern California and the surrounding landscape where the desert meets the sea. In addition, highlighting the warm and cozy culture of small, boutique coffee shops along the coast.

The scent combinations include: Cactus Flower & Jade, Orchid & Sea Salt, Banana Bread & Coffee, and Frosted Juniper Berry.

I chose to create delicate line drawings with small texture details to compliment the brand’s existing aesthetic of clean and simple design.

Hand Lettering

The t-shirt design expresses the imperfectly perfect nature of all handmade goods, while playfully “punny” with the text placement across the chest.
